Wat Mahathat was our second temple (wat) visit and again in the late afternoon so the weather was cooler and the tour buses had all gone. As with the other site they are improving the lighting system in the grounds so expect a little disruption. Quite a few steps to negotiate so if you have a baby stroller could be difficult. lots of interesting buildings and all have information boards by them in several languages which is great

I did find it difficult being the only American in the group as well as being the oldest woman. I didn’t know BRITs could be so cliquish but all the single English plus 2 Australian women were. There were two older British couples who became my best buddies. They were older but not quite as old as me. They were quite inclusive. I have found groups With more men, be they young or old, make it much more balanced.. So next time I’ll find out the group makeup before signing the contract, Aside from that the trip was wonderful and I can heartily recommend it.

Vietnam is one of my favorite countries, we returned to some of the cities I loved, and added in a few new destinations and activities. I love the river, the temples, the markets, and the overall vibe and chaos of the old town. It is a must visit to when you go to Cambodia; Angkor Wat is an amazing Temple; I learned about history and great architecture of the past; recommended to every person. So many amazing temples in Cobodia. I experienced Ancient sites, buzzing markets, amazing street food in Thai Lan. This tour is excellent
